Ennismore, a leading lifestyle and leisure hospitality company, and Kasada, a top real estate private equity platform in Africa, have announced the signing of Hyde Johannesburg. This marks Ennismore’s first hotel in Johannesburg and Kasada’s first investment in the city. Hyde Johannesburg will feature 131 rooms, including 31 suites and a gym.

Renovation and Features of Hyde Johannesburg

Located in Rosebank, one of Johannesburg’s most vibrant areas, Hyde Johannesburg will undergo a soft renovation. The redesign aims to create a bohemian feel that reflects the Hyde brand. New murals and art installations will be added, creating spaces for art and music collaborations. This renovation will give the hotel a bold new look while supporting local artists.

The mixed-use building also includes Proud Mary, a popular restaurant, a lobby lounge, meeting rooms, and 7,400 sqm of fully leased coworking, office, and commercial spaces. Hyde Hotels began as a club on LA’s Sunset Strip and now offer a laidback, welcoming atmosphere rooted in music. The brand’s guest experience encapsulates the free spirit of a festival.

Rosebank is known for its shopping centers, lively arts scene, and bustling business district. The hotel is next to the Rosebank Gautrain Station and a 30-minute drive to OR Tambo International Airport. The building won the International Property Award for Best Mixed-Use Development in 2022.
