The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is taking strategic steps to expand its reach in the United States and China. By hosting targeted roadshows and strategic events, NTB aims to strengthen its presence in these massive travel markets.
NBT Hosting ‘Networking with Namibia’ Event in Miami
From October 21-23, 2024, Namibia Tourism Board will host its “Networking with Namibia” B2B & PR Engagement Reception at the World Travel Exhibition (WTE) in Miami. This event will connect U.S. travel buyers, media, and PR professionals with Namibia’s key stakeholders. The experience will showcase Namibia’s rich biodiversity, adventure opportunities, and cultural offerings. Featuring seven Namibian trade partners, including six SMEs, the event highlights Namibia as a top destination for U.S. travelers.
Following Miami, NTB will host a roadshow in China from October 27 to November 1, targeting Beijing, Chengdu, and Shanghai. The roadshow, featuring 11 Namibian travel trade partners, will connect with Chinese tour operators, media outlets, and travel agencies. NTB aims to tap into China’s booming tourism market, expected to reach 130 million travelers in 2024. They want to this by offering unique experiences off the beaten path.
The roadshows and events by NBT in China is designed to attract Chinese travelers interested in adventure and cultural tourism. Face-to-face meetings with Chinese operators will give Namibian partners opportunities to showcase the country’s attractions and build lasting partnerships that support sustainable tourism growth.
These initiatives highlight NTB’s proactive approach to increasing Namibia’s global tourism footprint while promoting local businesses, especially SMEs, through international exposure. With these strategic moves, Namibia Tourism Board aims to boost international arrivals, increase tourism revenue, and showcase Namibia’s unique attractions to a wider audience.
