Park Hyatt Marrakech Opens: A Luxury Oasis in Morocco

Park Hyatt Marrakech

Park Hyatt Marrakech has officially opened its doors, marking the brand’s debut in Morocco. This opening comes just as the country’s peak summer season begins. It expands the Hyatt hotel’s presence in Africa, joining Park Hyatt Zanzibar and the upcoming Park Hyatt Johannesburg, set for 2025.

Uniquely located 5.5 miles (9 kilometers) from Marrakech’s historic Medina, this 19-acre (7.5-hectare) resort sits at the base of the Atlas Mountains. Surrounded by palm, olive, and jacaranda trees, Park Hyatt Marrakech offers a serene escape. Guests can also access the adjacent Al Maaden Golf resort and its 18-hole course.

Park Hyatt Hotel Marrakech: A Modern Take on Arab-Berber Heritage

Park Hyatt Marrakech stands out with its modern, stylish take on Arab-Berber heritage. The hotel invites travelers to experience Marrakech and Morocco through authentic design and a focus on the surrounding environment. Guests can enjoy contemporary art, global fine dining, and tailored wellness experiences.

The hotel comprises 16 pavilions around a central patio, embodying the personalized luxury of the global brand. Unique experiences include breakfast in a hot-air balloon over the Three Atlas Valleys and dinner in a Bedouin tent in the Agafay desert. Guests also enjoy airport transfers in luxury electric cars.

Designed with Moroccan Aesthetics

Architect Imaad Rahmouni designed Park Hyatt Marrakech, drawing inspiration from Arab-Berber traditions. The design balances modern conveniences with rich traditions, emphasizing the surrounding landscapes. Guests can enjoy stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal from various vantage points within the hotel.

The hotel offers 130 spacious guestrooms and suites, featuring Moroccan touches like traditionally woven Berber carpets and Tataoui motif headboards. An exclusive collaboration with Ifitry Artists’ Residence brings over 700 artworks and decorative objects to the hotel, showcasing artists from Morocco, Senegal, Benin, Spain, France, Italy, and Japan.

Fine Dining and Wellness

Park Hyatt Hotel Marrakech offers diverse dining options reflecting the brand’s expertise. TFAYA, an Arabesque brasserie, features dishes by Moroccan chef Issam Rhachi. Le Pavillon offers a light, all-day menu, while The Living Room provides a cozy space to enjoy Moroccan mint tea or a Fennel Old Fashioned with Beef Tangia Gyoza.

The hotel’s 23,000+-square-foot (2,200-square-meter) spa is a tranquil haven, celebrating Morocco’s culture of hammam rituals and holistic therapies. Featuring products from Sodashi and Nectarome, the spa offers personalized treatments. The resort also includes a fitness center, yoga studio, and multiple pools, each offering unique mountain views.

Event Spaces and More

Park Hyatt Marrakech features seven spacious function rooms for events. These rooms can host up to 80 guests, making them ideal for weddings, cocktail gatherings, or corporate meetings. Each pavilion, known as Douars, includes a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, enhancing the event experience.
