These lists rank the most popular places and venues for business events based on data from Cvent’s platform where people plan meetings and events. “Technology has changed how the events industry markets themselves and attracts new business. The pandemic showed how important in-person events are for local economies. Our lists highlight the destinations and hotels that have bounced back by quickly shifting to hosting live events again. After four long years, we’re excited to share these insights again to help event planners find great options and help hotels and destinations stand out to gain more events business,” said Cvent’s Vice President of International Sales.

The Top Meeting Destinations:

The Middle East and Africa have led the recovery of the travel industry after the pandemic. Cities in these regions have attracted more events by adapting to changes and investing in new attractions. While Dubai kept the top spot from 2019, new cities on the list include Istanbul and Antalya in Turkey, Muscat in Oman, and Tel Aviv in Israel.
