Mantis Soanambo Hotel & Spa
ACCOR HAS ANNOUNCED THE OPENING OF MANTIS SOANAMBO HOTEL & SPA, ITS FIRST INTERNATIONAL BRAND IN NOSY BORAHA, MADAGASCAR. THE 48-ROOM OCEANFRONT HOTEL, SET TO OPEN IN MAY 2023, IS PART OF THE MANTIS COLLECTION, KNOWN FOR ITS COMMITMENT TO CONSERVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY.

Accor, a prominent hospitality group, has recently revealed that the Mantis Soanambo Hotel & Spa will be opening on Nosy Boraha (Ile Sainte-Marie) in Madagascar. The Mantis Collection, known for its dedication to conservation and sustainability, will be bringing its distinct brand of hospitality to this picturesque corner of Madagascar. The hotel will feature 48 oceanfront rooms and is set to commence operations in May 2023, making it the first global hotel chain on Nosy Boraha.

The hotel will be owned by the same group that possesses the ibis Hotel and Spa Antananarivo and Novotel Convention and Spa Antananarivo. Additionally, this will be the third Accor hotel under their ownership in Madagascar’s capital city. The opening of the Mantis Soanambo Hotel & Spa will serve to expand Accor’s brand offering in the country even further.

Adrian Gardiner, Executive Chairman of Mantis Collection, expressed his enthusiasm for expanding into Madagascar and for the opportunity to revamp the Soanambo Hotel. He is optimistic that Mantis will imbue the property with a sense of sustainability and eco-luxury while also thrilling its guests and neighbors.

The hotel features an open-plan reception area, a bar and restaurant, and two serene swimming pools that offer breathtaking views of the ocean. The Mantis Soanambo Hotel & Spa benefits from calm seas and protection from the elements due to its location on the southwestern portion of the island. The island of Nosy Boraha can be reached in just 45 minutes by air via Tsaradia airlines from Antananarivo.

Like all Mantis properties, the new hotel will celebrate its surroundings and provide creatively curated experiences that introduce guests to the local community’s culture, history, and people. Furthermore, the hotel will operate in accordance with Accor’s environmental and energy efficiency reporting tools, internal carbon price monitoring, eco-certification programs, and brand standard sustainability criteria.
