Minor Hotels joins hands with The Cavaleros Group to introduce NH Collection in South Africa. This marks a significant milestone for both entities.

Effective July 1st, 2024, Minor Hotels will take the reins of a prominent 329-key property in Sandton, Johannesburg, a key financial district in South Africa.

The Cavaleros Group, established in 1926, partners with Minor Hotels to tap into the African hospitality market. NH Collection Sandton will undergo extensive refurbishment to offer a luxurious experience.

Luxurious Amenities at NH Collection Sandton

The iconic 30-year-old hotel offers a variety of room categories, including suites and a lavish Royal Suite. Guests can expect top-notch facilities such as restaurants, bars, conference rooms, a gym, and a large outdoor swimming pool.

Growth Opportunities Ahead

Minor Hotels Chairman, William Heinecke, expresses excitement about the partnership, aiming for further expansion across Africa. Penny Cavaleros, CEO of The Cavaleros Group, sees the partnership as a strategic move into the flourishing African hospitality sector.

Minor Hotels already operates 27 properties across Africa, with NH Collection’s global portfolio exceeding 90 properties. The NH Collection is poised to enter the Asian market later this year, following successful launches in the Middle East and the Maldives.
