Moroccan National Tourism Office

MOROCCAN NATIONAL TOURISM OFFICE EXCELS AT FITUR, WINNING THE “BEST STAND” AWARD AND FORGING PARTNERSHIPS WITH SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE TRAVEL AGENCIES. THE RECOGNITION UNDERSCORES MOROCCO’S CULTURAL RICHNESS AND SETS THE STAGE FOR INCREASED COLLABORATION IN THE COMING YEARS.

The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) clinched the coveted “Best Stand” award at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR). This award held from January 24 to 28 in Madrid, Spain, celebrating professional and original displays. FITUR recognized ONMT’s cutting-edge pavilion, amplifying Morocco’s authentic charm.

The award-winning stand, a 700-square-meter masterpiece, reflects Morocco’s rich culture and heritage. It showcases a contemporary design, with dedicated spaces for Tangier and Ouarzazate, highlighting the tourism assets.

ONMT: Strengthening Bonds and Partnerships

ONMT extends its influence in Spain and Portugal by forging partnerships with the Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) and the Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism (APAVT). The goal is to designate 2024 as the “Year of Morocco,” uniting over 5,000 members from each confederation across Spanish and Portuguese territories.

Formalizing collaborations further enhances Morocco’s perception, promoting awareness of its cultural heritage, tourist destinations, gastronomy, and innovations for travel agencies.

Double Triumph: ONMT’s Recognition Continues

In addition to the “Best Stand” award, ONMT was honored with the “Best International Destination” trophy for the Portuguese market. The Portuguese group GEA presented it, further solidifying Morocco’s position as a leading international travel destination.
