Mama Shelter Cape Town
Ennismore and Kasada announce the signing of a hotel management contract for Mama Shelter Cape Town, marking Ennismore’s inaugural venture in South Africa. The collaboration follows a December 2023 agreement between Kasada and Ingenuity Property for the development of this vibrant mixed-use project.
In the heart of Cape Town, Mama Shelter Hotel will redefine hospitality with its exuberant personality. This Mama Shelter in Cape Town will feature 127 guestrooms, 68 branded residences, meeting rooms, co-working spaces, a gym, and Mama’s classic all-day dining restaurant on the rooftop. Additionally, the hotel will introduce a new concept to the brand, Mama Play. Mama Play will boast a 742-square-meter arcade space featuring bowling, karaoke, dedicated food and beverage options, and event spaces.
Ennismore will also manage a ground-floor restaurant on Bree Street, one of Cape Town’s liveliest avenues, further enhancing the city’s dining scene. Situated in the iconic City Park building, the hotel offers unparalleled access to Cape Town’s bustling attractions and cultural sites.
