Hilton Signs Second Property in Marsa Alam, Egypt
Hilton Worldwide has announced the signing of its second property in the city of Marsa Alam, Egypt, further expanding its presence in this key market. Teaming up with Boulevard for Tourism Development, Hilton will operate the Hilton Marsa Wazar Red Sea Resort & Spa, which will fall under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
Offering a wide range of accommodation choices, the resort will feature 282 units, including standard guestrooms, beachfront suites, and stand-alone villas with private pools. With a host of facilities and amenities, guests can indulge in two main outdoor pools, an indoor spa pool, a 1,000 sq m spa, and a well-equipped gym. The dining experience will be exceptional, with four bars conveniently located in the lobby and poolside, along with a specialty restaurant and an all-day dining venue.
Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa at Hilton, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for expanding its presence in Egypt. He highlighted the country’s significance as one of Hilton’s key markets, offering exciting hospitality options to both local and international guests. Currently, Hilton operates 14 properties in Egypt, with 11 more in the pipeline. Khneisser emphasized the untapped potential of Egypt’s Red Sea shoreline, which boasts hidden gems for resort and diving tourism. The introduction of Hilton Marsa Wazar presents an excellent opportunity to provide world-class services to travelers seeking a secluded beachside getaway or an exploration of the mesmerizing underwater world.

The Hilton pipeline also includes 11 upcoming sites, such as the anticipated 247-key Waldorf Astoria Cairo, the Hilton Garden Inn Damietta Beach with 120 rooms planned on the north coast, and the DoubleTree by Hilton Ain Al Sokhna, a 200-key hotel set to appear on the shores of the Red Sea in Q2 2024.
