Nigerian Travel Agency to Host Inaugural African Tourism Conference in South Africa
Nigerian Travel Agency NANTA, in partnership with TOUGHA, is set to host the first African Tourism Conference in South Africa in May 2023, with support from South Africa Tourism.
In a bid to organize the first-ever African Tourism Conference in South Africa, the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) has collaborated with the Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA), and received support from South Africa Tourism (SAT) for the event scheduled to hold in May 2023. The conference is scheduled to take place in May 2023 and has received the endorsement of South Africa Tourism (SAT).
In addition to the conference, NANTA will hold its 47th Annual General Meeting in Abuja from April 25 to 27, 2023. The conference will feature renowned faculty members from the University of Johannesburg who will discuss tourism enterprise and related businesses to determine the industry’s future challenges and profitability.
Mrs. Susan Akporiaye, the NANTA President, appreciated the support of South Africa Tourism and expressed a desire to continue the West Coast tourism partnership between Nigeria and Ghana after the South Africa event.
Despite some incidents of xenophobia in South Africa, Akporiaye clarified that it is only a few individuals who exhibit such attitudes, and not all South Africans hold such views.
