The Neela Collection

THE NEELA COLLECTION IS SET TO LAUNCH TWO NEW LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTELS IN ZANZIBAR. THE FIRST OF THESE, THE FIVE-STAR NEELA BOUTIQUE HOTEL STONE TOWN, WILL OPEN ITS DOORS ON JULY 15, 2023, OFFERING UNIQUE, BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED ROOMS AND A RANGE OF OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES.

The Neela Collection is launching two new properties in Zanzibar, with the luxurious five-star Neela Boutique Hotel Stone Town opening on July 15, 2023. Renowned interior designer Nelly Levin has designed the hotel’s 14 Deluxe and Superior rooms within a restored heritage building, each with a unique layout. Superior rooms feature king-sized beds, a standalone bath, and a separate en-suite bathroom with a large shower, while Deluxe rooms offer a choice of king-size or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and high thread count linens.

The hotel’s Breadfruit Restaurant & Café will serve cuisine inspired by Stone Town’s influences, including dishes such as the Lobster Brekkie Bun and The Neela Kamba Roll. Guests can also enjoy a range of outdoor experiences, such as sunset cruises on a traditional dhow, swimming with dolphins, and kitesurfing, through the hotel’s partnership with a local tour operator.

The Neela Boutique Hotel Stone Town and another boutique hotel in Fumba, scheduled to open in 2024, are developed by Steve and Raju Shaulis, a couple with extensive experience in major projects across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
