Marriott Introduces Orlando Pirates Themed Rooms at Protes Hotel in Johannesburg
PROTEA HOTELS BY MARRIOTT AND MARRIOTT BONVOY HAVE UNVEILED ORLANDO PIRATES F.C. THEMED HOTEL ROOMS IN JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA, OFFERING A UNIQUE AND IMMERSIVE HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE FOR FOOTBALL ENTHUSIASTS.
Protea Hotels by Marriott and Marriott Bonvoy have introduced Orlando Pirates F.C. themed hotel rooms in Johannesburg, South Africa, providing football enthusiasts with an exclusive and immersive hospitality experience. Designed by local interior designer, Latoyah Mei, the rooms showcase the club’s proud heritage and success with symbolic black and white stripes and iconic murals featuring legendary players.
The rooms also feature modern amenities, football memorabilia, and natural elements, creating a minimal and contemporary space. The themed room is a celebration of local design and was awarded to Mei after a shortlist of four designers submitted their storyboards.
The launch of the themed rooms follows Marriott Bonvoy’s exclusive multi-year partnership as the official accommodation partner of Orlando Pirates Football Club, offering fans 15% off standard rates when booking at participating hotels across South Africa. Currently, there are ongoing plans to introduce additional themed rooms throughout the country.
