Newmark Hotels Expands in Cape Winelands with Hazendal Acquisition
NEWMARK HOTELS AND RESERVES HAS ADDED HAZENDAL WINE ESTATE TO ITS PORTFOLIO IN SOUTH AFRICA’S CAPE WINELANDS, WITH THE LUXURY BOUTIQUE HOTEL SET TO LAUNCH IN OCTOBER. THE ESTATE WILL OFFER A RANGE OF FAMILY AND CULINARY EXPERIENCES, INCLUDING A SPA, GYM, OUTDOOR POOL, AND SEVERAL DINING OPTIONS.
Newmark Hotels and Reserves has expanded its presence in South Africa’s Cape Winelands by adding Hazendal Wine Estate to its portfolio. The estate, founded in 1699, has undergone significant restoration work since 2016, making it one of the country’s premier hospitality destinations. As part of this transformation, Hazendal is set to launch The Hazendal, a luxury boutique hotel with 34 rooms and suites in October.
Newmark has been tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the estate and aiding in the establishment of Hazendal within the wine and hospitality markets, both locally and globally. The hotel will offer a range of family and culinary experiences, including a deli, wine tasting lounge, art gallery, conference spaces, driving range, putting park, and children’s edutainment center.
The Hazendal will also feature a spa, gym, outdoor pool, padel court, and several dining options, including a cigar and whiskey lounge. With its inter-leading luxury rooms and family-friendly experiences, Hazendal is an ideal destination for multi-generational travelers, and the purpose-built events space can host up to 200 guests for corporate and gala events. The hotel is located on Bottelary Road in Stellenbosch.
