Kashew’s Wine List: A Culinary Masterpiece
Newmark’s Group Sommelier boasting 9 years of industry experience, Kashew Restaurant’s wine list showcases over 70 exquisite South African wines. Spanning diverse styles and price ranges, it’s a testament to South Africa thriving winemaking culture.

The wine list was recently revamped to harmonize with the restaurant’s new all-day dining menu.

A Palate-Pleasing All-Day Dining Experience
Chris Erasmus, Newmark’s Group Head Chef, has crafted Kashew’s new all-day dining menu, blending African flavors, local delicacies, and international favorites to cater to both regional and global tastes. Erasmus, with a culinary pedigree working alongside Michelin Star Chefs, ensures every dish is a culinary masterpiece.
Popular dishes include the mouthwatering 450g flame-grilled tomahawk steak, traditional Pap & Wors served with maize meal and spicy chakalaka sauce, and the delectable spicy chicken liver bowls. Burgers, pastas, and Prego rolls have also won diners’ hearts.
To reduce their carbon footprint, the restaurant now exclusively sources local ingredients, eliminating bottled and processed food products in favor of in-house preparation.

Star Wine List Awards: A World of Wine Excellence
Star Wine List, originating in Stockholm in 2017, has become a hallmark of global wine excellence. It offers access to over 2000 remarkable wine lists in 35+ countries.
The 2023 South African wine list award winners will unveil during the Best Sommelier of South Africa event in Stellenbosch on September 16. South Africa’s victors will advance to the Star Wine List International Final in June 2024.
